Hobbiton in the Shire

This land in Middle Earth is a peaceful land of Hobbits. This is where the story unfolds. In Hobbiton, Bilbo was born and raised. This land is also where The Lord of the Rings was began. Both stories include hobbits, dwarfs, and wizards.

The Lonely Mountain

This is where Smaug took refuge in The Hobbit. This Mountain, or Erador, was also the kingdom of Thrain, father of Thorin. At the base of this mountain, the Battle of The Five Armies took place at the end of The Hobbit.
