The Hobbit is a daring adventure of hobbits, dwarfs, and wizards. The fifteen characters that you see in this above photo are the fifteen that need to get to the Lonely Mountain, where their kingdom was taken over by a large and ferocious dragon named Smaug.
It all starts with an unexpected party in Hobbiton, in the Shire. The hobbit, Bilbo Baggins (who is located in the center of the photo), finds thirteen hungry and feisty dwarfs at his doorstep. Of course, being a loveable hobbit, he invites them in. Then Gandalf the Wizard appears. The fourteen visitors trash Bilbo's home, discuss dark times, and call upon Bilbo to go with them to the Lonely Mountain.
Being part Took (the adventurous side of his family), Bilbo agrees and becomes the "burglar" of the fifteen travelers. He, along with the others, have to fight their way through dark forests, escape dungeons of the Elves, and fight against goblins and wolves to protect themselves and their line of heritage.
